Researchers have discovered that smiling increases our feelings of happiness and well-being whether we are the benefactor or the recipient, and even whether the smile is genuine or fake. Highly contagious, smiling serves to build a bridge between us and those around us and is the accepted and universal language of love and
kindness and peace. So it appears that when you smile, your world really does smile with you. As Mother Teresa said, it truly is "a beautiful thing."
